Accounting for goodwill is again controversial as International Accounting Standard Board adopts the impairment regime in 2004. Indeed, the adoption of impairment regime regarding Goodwill in accordance with IFRS makes the annual reports of companies more credible and transparent. However, the new treatment continues to receive criticism from the academics and practitioners, because they see the impairment regime is based on the discretion of management, and there is subjectivity inherent in the application of the impairment regime besides the conceptual move toward fair-value accounting. Hence, there is non-compliance with this standard in many companies around the world. However, the problem of agency and information asymmetry, which happen between companies‟ management and shareholders, can be decreased by external audit. This paper investigates the factors that may affect companies‟ compliance with the MFRS 136 Impairment of Assets among the Malaysian listed companies. Based on a review of the prior literature, this paper proposes a conceptual framework to investigate the impact of audit quality (audit firm size, audit tenure and audit fees) on the level of goodwill disclosure compliance with the MFRS 136 among Malaysian listed companies. Evidence from previous studies suggested that the audit quality proxy namely audit firm size, audit tenure and audit fees positively impact the companies‟ compliance with the MFRS 136.

The development of the internet led to the use of information technology. The use of information technology not only to transform the services provided, but also to change the service delivery process. In connection with this condition raises the opportunity for retail transactions in the use of online shopping. The purpose of research to determine the effect of E-Service Quality, Price Perception to Repurchase Intention mediated by Customer Satisfaction, Customer Loyalty and Experiential Marketing on On-line shopping. The number ofsamples taken as many as 496 respondents. Respondents who were taken with the provisions ever shop by using online shopping.Samplingmethod by using random sampling. Data were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed the largest influence is satisfaction to consumers loyalty, compared tothe other variables. There ise-service quality, experiential marketing, price perception have influence to customer satisfaction. In addition consumer satisfaction has influence to customer loyalty and customer loyalty has influence to repurchase intention. Hence customer satisfaction has influence to repurchase intention, and customer satisfaction has a direct or indirectinfluence to repurchase intention.

Feasibility of Budgeting Process Plan Implementation on the Performance of Coffee Cooperative Societies in Trans Nzoia County, Kenya Original Research Article Country Kenya
Budget, as a process plan implementation is a crucial phase in the organizational performance especially the coffee cooperative societies. Coffee cooperative societiesare an alternative tool of pooling resources together for the improvement of livelihood of rural coffee farmers. Budgetinginvolve process plan procedures necessary for prudent utilization of resources towards improvedquantity and quality coffee production in the cooperative pulping stations/factories. Kenya’s coffee cooperative sector has performed dismally at 30% production since 1980’s despite its 70% share of the sector.The objective of the study was to examine the feasibility of budgeting process plan implementation on the performance of coffee cooperative societies in Trans Nzoia County, Kenya. The study utilized structured questionnaire to collect data on 346 respondents. The respondents were derived at using purposive, stratified and simple random sampling techniques. Data wereanalysed using Chi-square test andSpearman’s correlation coefficient. Descriptive statistics were analysedusing percentage with the aid of SPSS computer program. Results are presented in form of tables and descriptions. It was established that budgeting hasa statistically significant positive influence on the organizational performance (P<0.05) and therefore,extension services and capacity building exercise should,emphasis improving the capacity on budget process plandevelopment, implementation and control in the coffee cooperative societies in order to enhance their performance thus increase farmers’ income and improve the rural economy through agriculture.

There has been a need to expand library career opportunities given the small growth of libraries and information centers in developing countries like Nigeria. The present economic realities and the challenges in labor market in Nigeria also justify the need to equip undergraduates with the basic entrepreneurial skills that would enable them to be self-employed after graduation. Moreover, users of library no longer see the need to visit the library because library services are not attractive and packaged in ways preferred by them. There is therefore, the need to make library services attractive and profitable; this will require turning library services into marketable products that can be put up for sale to generate income for the library, this is also expected to attract more users into the library. Marketing of library services and entrepreneurship education in Nigerian library schools, are faced with issues like product repackaging, pricing, funding raising for entrepreneurship training, lobbying, advocacy strategies by the library etc,. All these must be addressed by any library or library school that wishes to engage in marketing of its services and adding entrepreneurship education in it curriculum.

This study investigated ICT skills on use of University Web Portal by students of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Ibadan. Descriptive survey method was used for the research design and the study population was made up of students of NOUN, Ibadan. Simple random sampling technique was adopted for this study to select only 237 as the sample size. The questionnaire was the main instruments employed for data collected and was analysed using simple percentages. Findings revealed the level of ICT as very low. The educational activities carried out on web portal include submission of assignment, register for courses among others. The use of NOUN web portal is frequent for submission of assignment, register for courses etc. The ICT skill influences the use of NOUN web portal by the students. The constraints to effective use of University web portal include internet connection failure, inability to access the web portal properly. The University web portal plays an important role in students study and academic programme. Therefore, management should on admissions to the programme recommend the use of multimedia devices such as iPhone, iPad, Computer system and other supportive gadgets for educational purpose however; this can be incorporated in their tuition fees.
Foreign Exchange Accessibility and Manufacturing Sector’s Growth in Nigeria (1997-2016) Original Research Article Country Nigeria
This paper examined the impact of foreign exchange accessibility on the growth of manufacturing sector in Nigeria. The study relied on secondary time series annual data and analyzed the collected data by using inferential statistics. The estimation techniques include Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method, Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) Unit Root test, Johansen Co-integration test and Autoregressive Distributed Lags (ARDL) model. The study revealed that there was an existence of both short run and long run relationships among the variables of interest. The findings of the study revealed that the supply of foreign exchange and by implication, its accessibility is critical to the growth of the manufacturing sector considering the positive relationship of the lags of foreign exchange supply. Similarly, the amount of foreign exchange unutilised by the manufacturing sector (FXUM) was positively and significantly related to the growth of manufacturing sector. In the light of the forgoing findings, it was concluded that the time to time behaviours of foreign exchange supply by the Central Bank of Nigeria, forex utilization by the manufacturing sector and exchange rate all put together had a significant impact on the growth of Nigerian manufacturing sector. Consequently, it was recommended that government should ensure optimal and consistent supply of foreign exchange to the manufacturing sector as this has been found to have positive effect on the growth of the sector in this study. In addition, government should improve on her monitoring activities of the amount and distribution of foreign exchange allocations to the manufacturing sector of the economy in order to ensure that they are utilised for productive purposes only and reduce the incidence of diversion to unproductive and illegitimate purposes.
Volatility, Firm Size and Economic Growth: Evidence from Chinese Stock Market Original Research Article Country China
Forecasting real economic growth by using the information contents of financial asset prices is one of the main themes in financial studies in recent years. Based on the micro-level stock data from Shenzhen Stock Exchange Market, the paper constructs a cross-section volatility measure using sample stocks, investigates the impact of stock price volatility on economic growth, and forecasts economic growth with stock prices volatility of different firm size. The empirical results indicate that stock price volatility is a good indicator for forecasting economic growth. The results also show that volatility of both large and small firms can be useful in forecasting economic growth. In addition, volatility of small firms can better predict economic growth.
